I'm Your Man

... This Charming Man...

It was the end of July, I was just back to my aupair job in Athenry after my holidays in Italy. My longterm relationship was over, leaving a quite bitter taste in my mouth. But there was a great excitement in the house, the Galway Race's was about to start. Conor was supposed to arrive that weekend. Dylan and Summer were really thrilled to have their uncle over for a few days.

I had met Conor a couple of times before, but we've never really  talked to each other. That weekend we got to know each other  a little bit better. I REALLY enjoyed his company.
Then it was September,  Dylan and Summer started school and I moved to Dublin with Conor...

I had already spent 7 months in Ireland, when I decided that I didn't want to go back to Italy. I wanted to stay here and try to get a job. At the end of the day, I was a graduate, my English wasn't that bad, and I had no-one who was waiting for me at home.

... Beside my parents, of course!
They were devastated when I told them that I was looking for a job in Dublin. I remember talking to my mum and saying to her:" Don't worry, mum, six more months and I'll be back home...!"

... It's almost 8 years now... I have two beautiful healthy kids (blessed them), a great house (we bought it last year, still a lot to do), and the perfect man on my side.

Conor and I started "dating" and living together at the same time. It felt so natural. It was like we were waiting for each other. Even though we are VERY different, we complement each other.

We both like good food...

... and drinks...

... or just a nice "cup" of tea...

... we love getting around big chaotic cities...

... living and discovering new cultures...

... or just lying on a nice beach...

... it doesn't really matter if it's cold outside...

... or if it's so hot that you cannot even breath...

... WE love traveling, having fun and above all spending time together...
